Monmouth County’s Pan African Chamber of Commerce will join with local distressed property expert, Marilyn D’Angelo CDPE of Keller Williams Realty West Monmouth, to offer a foreclosure avoidance seminar on Jan. 18 at the Asbury Park Municipal Chambers from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. This event features an expert panel of industry professionals to address the needs and questions of local homeowners who may know someone or who might be facing foreclosure themselves due to circumstances such as job loss, medical bills, divorce or other hardships.
“As a Certified Distressed Property Expert, I have received extensive training and education to help homeowners avoid foreclosure,” says Marilyn D’Angelo, broker associate and CDPE. “Together with our panel and the help of the Pan African Chamber of Commerce, we can bring this essential information to the homeowners who might be at risk of losing their homes, and potentially help change their lives and their futures for the better.” Recent statistics show that there are currently 1,218,637 properties in the United States in some stage of foreclosure (default, auction or bank owned) and 54,269 foreclosures in New Jersey. “In this market, chances are many homeowners could use some help; that’s why this free seminar is so important,” D’Angelo says. “It is important for everyone to educate and get this information out to homeowners. This will also help save our communities,” says Carlton Davis, member of Pan African Chamber. “We’re excited to partner with Ms. D’Angelo, community attorneys and credit experts for this event and help support our community.”
