Central Jersey Umpire Association (CJUA) is looking for new or experienced baseball and softball umpires. The CJUA, one of the largest umpire organizations in the state, is looking for men or women 16 and older who like the game, want to make some extra money and would like to become certified umpires by CJUA. The association has games from March until November, baseball and softball games from 7U to summer college.
The CJUA will train prospective umpires. Weekly Cadet classes start the first week in February.

The U15 Hazlet Storm boys travel soccer team is holding open tryouts. The Storm is looking for players to join the team and guest-play in tournaments. The team is professionally trained and practices year-round in excellent facilities.

Pinelanders Youth Soccer Club, Howell, is currently accepting registration for the spring 2014 recreational soccer season. The season runs for 10 weeks beginning in April. Games are played on Friday evenings and Saturday mornings at Hoffman Fields, 449 Adelphia-Farmingdale Road (Route 524).
The Pinelanders offer the following programs:
The Outdoor Team program is open to youth players who will be ages 4-18 on April 1.
The Under-4 Introductory program is open to players who will be younger than 4 years old on April 1. There is no lower age limit, but players must be out of diapers.
The Challenger program teaches soccer skills to players with special needs. Players must be ages 6-12 on April 1.
The fee is $60 per player for the first two players in a family (excluding Challenger players) and $30 for additional players. The fee for the Challenger program is $30. An additional fee of $10 per player will be charged for registrations received after Feb. 16. Members must also commit to volunteering for at least one activity during the season.
