   Sun., Feb. 16 — Millstone Valley Fire Department will host its annual breakfast buffet from 8 to 11:30 a.m. at the firehouse at 2365 Amwell Road, Somerset. Candidate Kovach
to address Dems
   Wed., Feb. 19 — Janice Kovach, a candidate for Congress, will speak to the Hillsborough Democratic Alliance at its meeting at 7 p.m. at Avalon Assisted Living, 393 Amwell Road, Hillsborough, just east of Route 206. The meeting, originally scheduled for Feb.5, was postponed because of weather.
   Ms. Kovach, the mayor of Clinton Town and former director of the state Division of Women, is seeking the Democratic nomination in the June primary to run for the congressional seat held by Leonard Lance. a Republican, in the 7th Congressional District, which includes Hillsborough.

Impact Training
hosts seminar
   Sat., Feb. 22 — !mpact Training will hold a fitness program from 12:30 to 2 p.m. its facility at 126 Stryker Lane, Building 24, Unit 3. Dr. Mark Nagel of Belle Mead Physical Therapy will talk about injury prevention and how to deal with injuries.    Sat., Feb. 22 — Harlingen Reformed Church Sunday School is sponsoring a free movie night, featuring “The Water Horse,” for children through grade 6 and families from 5 to 8 p.m. at the church, 34 Dutchtown Road, Belle Mead, at the corner of Route 206.    Wed., Feb. 26 —Hillsborough Township Schools will hold its first Parent Technology Night from 7–8 p.m. in the cafeteria of the Auten Road Intermediate School. Featured speaker will be Jaime Casap, a global education promoter from Google, Inc., who will speak about the premise that, as the world gets more connected, it also gets more complex.

   Thurs., Feb. 27 — Master Gardener Marylin Hulme will address the Neshanic Garden Club at its monthly meeting at 11 a.m. at the Station House, Olive Street, Neshanic Station. She will talk about growing and cooking with herbs, showcasing the nutritional value as well as added taste. She will show how to preserve herbs and incorporate them into gardens. The club’s monthly meeting is at 9:45 a.m. Bring a bag lunch and lug a mug; dessert and beverage only will be served at noon. Prospective members are encouraged to attend. Firefighters hold
annual fish fry
   Fri., March 7 — Hillsborough Fire Company No. 3 will hold its annual fish fry buffet from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Menu includes baked tilapia, fried cod, fried clams, fried shrimp, chicken fingers, pierogies, vegetable medley, french fries, rice, homemade cole slaw, salad.
   Adults, $12; Senior citizens (60 and older, $11; children 5 to 12, $9, and children 4 and under eat free. Tickets will be sold at the door.
Science fair seeks
kids to participate
   Sat., March 8 — Students in grades 5-12 are invited to participate in the third annual Central Jersey Science Fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Commons of Hillsborough High School, 466 Raider Blvd. It’s free and open to the public. RoboRaiders Team 75 holds this as part of its Technology Innovations Week to show kids the wonders of science and technology. To participate, sign up at www.roboraiders.com. Submissions can involve any field in science, but some suggested topics are electricity, magnetism, and genetics.
