The Manville Public Library will be closed Monday, Feb. 17, in observance of Presidents’ Day. Regular hours of 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Thursday, and 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday will resume on Tuesday.
History lecture: Somerset resident Gary Kraidman will present a free lecture on President Warren G. Harding on Tuesday, Feb. 18, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Register on line.
Tax preparation: AARP volunteers will be available to prepare senior citizens income tax forms for free at the Manville Public Library until April 10. The library only provides the Community Room. An appointment must be made by calling Tax Help for Seniors at 908-541-5710.
Friends are sought: Manville Public Library is looking for community members who would like to join the Friends of the Manville Library Committee.
This committee will promote the library’s programs and collections, raise funds for special library projects and encouraging a lifelong love of reading and learning. Call Barbara Forbes at 908-722-9722.
Kids Craft Club: Students in K-8 grades are welcome monthly. The club will be held today, Thursday, Feb. 13, from 4-5 p.m. All materials are provided. Register on line or at the library.
Storytime: Children who must be 3 ½ by Aug. 31, 2013. Stories and songs will be followed by age-appropriate crafts from 11 a.m. to noon on Tuesdays, Feb. 18 and 25. Registration is required on line or at the library.

Tabletop gaming: Students in grade 6 and older are invited to drop in Saturday, Feb. 22, from noon to 3 p.m. Bring a friend and play classic board games, like Clue or Risk, or new favorites like Ticket to Ride or Zombies.
Graphic Novel Book Club: The group next meets Thursday, Feb. 27, from 6-7:30 p.m. in the Community Room. All adults are welcome. Sign up online or in person if you plan on attending.
Craft night: All ages are invited Thursday, Feb. 20, to attend from 5:45-7:45 p.m. in the Community Room. Bring in a glue gun, if you have one. Register online.
Lego Club: Use your imagination building with Legos on Thursday, Feb. 20, from 4:15-4:45 p.m. All ages are welcome. You can bring your Legos or use ones the library will provide.

Crochet Club: Join the club from 6-7:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 26, in the Community Room. Experienced or not, you will be welcomed. Bring your own needles and yarn.
