MANVILLE: Senior center to close on Monday for holiday

   The Manville Senior Center at the Fire Company No. 1 at 20 So. Third Ave. will be closed Monday, Feb. 17, for the President’s Day holiday.
   The senior center is normally open Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.–2:30 p.m.
   A suggested lunch donation of $2 is recommended for individuals age 60 and older. The cost of lunch for those younger than age 60 is $6.50. Call 908-369-8700 before 10:30 a.m. the day before to make a lunch reservation.
   Transportation is available for those who do not drive.
   Bingo is played every Wednesday at 11:15 a.m.
   Birthdays are celebrated on the fourth Wednesday of the month.
   &Creative movement exercises are led Wednesdays, 10:15-11 a.m. An aerobic chair exercise class is sponsored every Monday and Wednesday, 8:45-9:45 a.m.
   A healthy bones exercise class is held every Tuesday and Thursday, 9:30-11 a.m. Advance registration and a doctor’s note are required.
   Tai chi is held every Friday, 9:30-10:30 a.m. Advance registration is required.

   Tues., Feb. 18 — Free foot & ankle screenings with Sharon Joag, DPM, East Brunswick Foot Care.
   Thurs., Feb. 20 — Sing along with Ken Tekel and Pete Piccirillo on the banjo and guitar.
   Sat., Feb. 22 — Operation Shoebox community project.
   Mon., Feb. 24 — Linda Henderson, State of New Jersey government, will discuss “unclaimed property” and how to find out if there is missing money with your name on it.
   Tues., Feb. 25 — “All About Dreams” by social worker Audrey Oxenhorn.
   Wed., Feb. 26 — “Coyote Cries” by the Somerset County Park Commission.
   Fri., Feb. 28 — Wii bowling.
