POLICE BLOTTER: Feb. 13

   Eight borough parking violations were reported between 11:20 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. Feb. 3 on various streets for failure to remove cars from the street when it is covered by snow.
   A woman reported a hit-and-run accident at 12:35 p.m. Feb. 3 on South 13th Avenue. The back of her burgundy Chrysler Sebring was completely smashed, she said.
   The theft of a Volvo S70 was reported at 1:20 p.m. Feb. 3 on Kyle Street. The caller said the car was last seen a few hours earlier. Police said the car was towed for being parked on a snow-covered road, as the caller was told.
   A caller told police a truck plowing at a pharmacy lot on Kennedy Boulevard damaged his fence at 4:51 p.m. Feb. 3.
   A caller at 2:49 p.m. Feb. 4 said eighth graders were throwing snowballs at them on North 13th Avenue. The caller said they would wait at the library until the kids left the area.
   A man reportedly broke up his TV and window in anger on South 15th Avenue at 12:55 p.m. Feb. 5. Police asked for the rescue squad to respond to take the man to the hospital.
   Mary Hatcher, 47, of New Brunswick was charged with shoplifting at Walmart at 5:35 p.m. Feb. 6. She was lodged in the county jail in lieu of $1,500 bail.
   Borough Administrator Gary Garwacke reported a license plate in the snow at Borough Hall at 9:44 a.m. Feb. 7. The owner was contacted and retrieved it at headquarters. Five minutes later, Officer James Piotrowski found another license plate at South Main and Kyle streets, and returned it to the Manville owner.
   Lilly C. Roessner, 20, of Ringoes, was charged with shoplifting $55.86 worth of merchandise from Walmart at 6:31 p.m. Feb. 7. She was released on her own say-so.
   A child was reported choking on a candy mint at 1:42 p.m. Feb. 9, but it was dislodged before patrols and rescue squad could get there.
   A man in a beige trench coat reportedly shoplifted a 750-milliter bottle of gin from Cyburts Liquors on South Main Street at 7:33 p.m. Feb. 9 and drove away.
   County road department worker reported a man was throwing snow at his plow’s windshield at 9:44 p.m. on North Main Street. The man was found a block away and told to stop.
   Manville police assisted Hillsborough police in dealing with a large fight at Joey Gs Grill & Bar on Route 206 at 1:43 a.m. Feb. 9.
