Florence
   Police continue to investigate a car accident that claimed the life of Hirobumi Okura, age 33, of West Windsor on Jan. 30.
   No charges have been filed in the accident in which a Prius driven by Mr. Hirobumi struck the back of a tractor-trailer, which was stationary at the traffic light on Route 130 near Roy’s Garage.
   Feb. 1 police charged Megan Mershon, 28, of Florence, for driving while under the influence.
   According to police, the arrest was made after a motor vehicle stop on Florence-Columbus Road after Ms. Mershon’s car was seen failing to maintain a lane.
   She was also charged with having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, reckless driving and equipment violations.
   She was released without bail.
   Police charged Marie O’Connell, 44, of Florence, for narcotics possession on Feb. 1.
   According to police, a small amount of marijuana was discovered in Ms. O’Connell’s possession during a motor vehicle stop on West Front Street.
   She was also charged with possession of drugs in a motor vehicle, possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
   She was released without bail.
   Feb. 1 police charged Andrew Counard, 29, of Burlington, for driving while intoxicated.
   According to police, a car driven by Mr. Counard was seen speeding on Route 130, prompting a motor vehicle stop.
   He was also charged with reckless driving and speeding.
   He was subsequently released to a responsible party without bail.
Mansfield
   Richard R. Leoncini, 57, of Monroe Township was charged after leading police on a brief chase on Route 68 on Feb. 1.
   According to police, patrol attempted to conduct a motor vehicle stop on Mr. Leoncini’s 2008 Chevrolet HHR for a traffic violation on Route 206 at 6:30 p.m.
   Mr. Leoncini attempted to elude officers, police said, by entering Route 68, but was subsequently apprehended without incident at the security gate leading to the Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst.
   Police said no one was injured during the pursuit.
   He was charged with eluding, making an improper U-turn, failure to maintain a lane and disregard of a traffic control device.
   Mr. Leoncini was transported to Burlington County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.
