Suzanne Gitomer, Lambertville
The board of trustees of the Lambertville Historical Society wish to thank so very many in Lambertville and the surrounding area for supporting our second Lambertville En Plein Air fundraiser!
On Feb. 1 more than 200 people filled the Rago Arts & Auction Center to attend our silent auction benefiting the Lambertville Historical Society and James Marshall House Museum. Guests enjoyed food, drinks and live music, while bidding on 38 paintings produced by 26 New Jersey and Pennsylvania plein air artists. It was a great success!
Thanks to our event sponsors, which included Bell’s Tavern, Cafe Blue Moose, Cross Culture, Giuseppe’s Ristorante, Hamilton’s Grill Room, The Hearth, Lambertville Station, Lilly’s on the Canal, Rick’s, PageOne Creative Group, Rago Arts & Auction Center and Wonderful World of Wine.
Fabulous music was provided by local musicians The Lifters. And, of course, we want to thank all the artists who donated part of the proceeds from their artwork: Al Barker, Michael Budden, Myles Cavanaugh, Maureen Chatfield, Jeffrey Charlesworth, Nathan DiStefano, Ellen Gavin, Joseph Gyurcsak, Glenn Harren, Ty Hodanish, Bill Jersey, Patricia Walach Keough, Kay King, Anne Kullaf, Jessie Krause, Mark Pullen, Pratima Rao, J. Stacy Rogers, John Schmidtberger, Colette Sexton, Nancy Shelly, Joe Sweeney, Jas Szygiel, George Thompson, Luiz Vilela and Eleanor Voorhees.
A special thanks to the following individuals who helped with the planning of the event: Caroline Armstrong, Deborah Galen, Naomi Drew, Sandra Harris, Laurie Weinstein, Vanessa Zeoli and Holly Havens. Ross Mitchell once again hung the paintings with care and finesse. From Rago Arts & Auction, we thank Michael Ingham and his staff for providing the venue for this event and accommodating our every need.
Finally, thanks to all the volunteers and helpers for our silent auction. We couldn’t do it without you!
