The Borough Improvement League (BIL) has announced the return of the Brainy Borough Chili Challenge. The event will be held 1-4 p.m. Feb. 16 at the Old Franklin Schoolhouse, 491 Middlesex Ave., Metuchen.
Attendees will have an opportunity to sample more than a dozen different chili options and vote for their favorites. Prizes will be awarded for People’s Choice and Judges’ Choice. There is no fee to enter the challenge, and all chefs will receive a half-price tasting ticket.
All proceeds benefit the BIL’s scholarship fund, which provides an annual $1,000 scholarship to a graduating Metuchen High School student pursuing a career in education, medicine or social work.
