Edison mayor to give inaugural address

Mayor Thomas Lankey will give his State of the Edison Township Inaugural Address at 7 p.m. Feb. 20 at the Pines Manor, Edison. The general public is encouraged to attend, and reservations are not required.

Lankey will outline his goals and vision for Edison Township and introduce members of his new administration.

A cocktail reception from 5:30-7 p.m. will be held prior to his address in an adjacent room hosted by the business community. The reception will provide the opportunity to meet and talk with the mayor, members of his administration, department heads and local legislators. The public is welcome to participate in the reception.

The reception admission charge is $65 per person. Advance registrations are required online at www.edisonchamber.com or by calling the Edison Chamber of Commerce at 732-738-9482. Event sponsors and advertisements are welcome. A portion of the proceeds will help fund economic development in Edison, with a focus on creating and retaining jobs.

B’nai B’rith couples to meet for lunch

The B’nai B’rith Ketubah Married Couples Unit, for those age 50 and older, will meet for dinner at 5 p.m. Feb. 16 at Cafe Gallo, 1153 Inman Ave. in Edison. Event will explore Italian opera

St. Matthew’s school to hold registration

St. Matthew School, 100 Seymour Ave., Edison, will hold registration for new students from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 18 and 6-8 p.m. Feb. 27. Information about the school’s fixed-tuition plan will be available. Details: 732-985-6633.
