Mr. Concello, 90, of Marlboro, formerly of Hazlet, died Jan. 19, 2014 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He was a retired research specialist with Englehard Minerals and Chemicals, Menlo Park. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was an accomplished musician and pianist. Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Marie Sheffield; two sons and a daughter-in-law, James M. Concello, and Bill and Hitomi Concello; four stepchildren, Michael Sheffield, Dale Monchek, Mary Coleman and Susan Weber; a sister, Angie; and six grandchildren. A private cremation was held in respect of Mr. Concello’s wishes. A funeral service was held at St. Gabriel Cemetery, Marlboro.
