An Ipod touch scanner, valued at $350 and belonging to American Eagle Outfitters, was reported stolen between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. Feb. 16. A store employee could not find the scanner and reported the theft to police.
Edwin Cruz, 29, of Trenton, was charged with driving under the influence and other motor vehicle violations on Brunswick Pike at 10:54 p.m. Feb. 19.
Two cars were entered on Sturwood Way between 4 p.m. Feb. 19 and 9 a.m. Feb. 20. One of the victims reported the theft of a bottle of cologne, valued at $60, and a Samsung cell phone, valued at $420, from a 2013 Dodge Dart.
The second victim reported the theft of an Ipod Nano, valued at $150, from her 2013 Toyota. The victim noticed one of the car doors was slightly ajar and the dome light inside the car was on.
Lindsay Floyd, 29, of Moorestown, and Jerry Powell, 29, of Westville, were charged with possession or distribution of hypodermic syringes and possession of a controlled dangerous substance (heroin) after they were stopped by police in the parking lot at Lawrence High School at 2:51 p.m. Feb. 20.
A police officer saw the car enter the parking lot the wrong way and stopped it. Further investigation revealed 13 hypodermic syringes in the car, and a clear liquid in them was tested and found to be suspected narcotics.
Ms. Floyd was released after posting bail and Mr. Powell was taken to the Mercer County Corrections Center.
Kristen Bartolone, 24, of Dayton, was charged for shoplifting jewelry and curtains, worth a combined $165.97, from Sears at 8:49 p.m. Feb. 20.
A 19-year-old Morrisville, Pa., resident reported the theft of her purse, which contained her wallet, from the registration desk at Rider University’s Student Recreation Center between 5:15 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Feb. 18 while she was working at a blood drive there. The wallet contained $80 in cash and personal papers.
A Rider University student reported the theft of her iPhone, valued at $500, plus an $80 case for it, from Daly Dining Hall Feb. 12 between 9:15 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. She used an app to try to find out and discovered it was in someone’s possession on Hoffman Avenue in Trenton.
The manager of the Victoria’s Secret store reported the theft of $849 worth of perfume Feb. 24. The theft was discovered while reviewing surveillance tapes, which showed two black females who may have been the shoplifters.
One female was described as 30 to 40 years old and who had a slight limp to her right leg. The second female, who appeared to be the lookout, was 20 to 30 years old and was wearing a black jacket and jeans.
