HILLSBOROUGH: Wooden snowmen taken from front yard, police say

Police report

   Decorative wooden snowmen were reported taken Feb. 23 from the front yard of a South Woods Road home sometime overnight, according to Hillsborough Township police.
   • Police also reported that Patrick Brennan, 23, or Hopewell was charged with theft by deception Feb. 17 for allegedly using an expense account from a former employer to buy $40 worth of gasoline for his personal vehicle. He was released and given a date to come to court.
   • Dashawn Greene, 42, of North Brunswick was charged with hindering apprehension when he allegedly gave officers a false name when a vehicle in which he was traveling was stopped on Falcon Road on Feb. 13. He was also found to have pending warrants from Hillsborough Municipal Court. He was taken to Somerset County Jail pending a court appearance.
   • Police said it was reported Feb. 11 that an unoccupied residence on River Road was entered in the previous week and someone had removed a section of copper pipe valued at $500.
