YOUNG SCHOLARS’ INSTITUTE ANNOUNCES NEW BOARD PRESIDENT
TRENTON, NEW JERSEY– On February 10th Errol B. Taylor, Esq. of Princeton was elected President of the Young Scholars’ Institute (YSI) Board of Trustees.
Mr. Taylor is a partner in a multinational law firm based in New York City and leads the firm’s biopharma patent litigation practice. Mr. Taylor has been recognized as one of the world’s leading pharmaceutical litigators by numerous publications and journals and in 2003, he was selected by The National Law Journal as one of the nation’s top trial lawyers. He is a Princeton resident who served as President on the Board of Trustees of The Chapin School in Princeton from 2009-2011. Mr. Taylor stated that, “As we enter YSI’s second quarter century of service, I am thrilled to lead our committed Board in strengthening YSI’s ability to carry out its mission to provide educational support, guidance and encouragement to area youth.”
Young Scholars’ Institute (YSI) is a year-round non-profit learning center that has provided educational, cultural and recreational activities for students in grades Pre-K through twelve for more than 20 years. Located in the heart of Trenton, NJ, the primary goal of YSI is to help encourage urban youth to pursue a college education and to support local schools in helping students acquire the skills to do so. Current YSI programming includes: tutoring, an academic summer enrichment program, SAT preparation classes, pre-professional clubs (STEM and Pre-Law), college tours (for middle and high school students), college admissions/financial aid and career planning workshops, a pre-school, a Saturday reading program, student support services, parent workshops, a career speaker series, college student panels, a middle school writing project, toy drives and food/clothing giveaways.
