Approximately 150 middle school students proved that “We Go Together” by performing the musical “Grease” last weekend.
The finale song in last Saturday’s production of the musical “Grease” at Crossroads North Middle School ended a weekend of performances by the ensemble, which featured two separate casts.
The students, under the direction of Music Teacher Sandra Olson, featured a roster with two teams of cast members.
One cast performed on the Thursday and late Saturday performances, while a second (and equal company) performed the roles at the Friday and early Saturday shows.
Each show played to sold out audiences at the George’s Road school auditorium.
Ms. Olsen said the shows drew standing ovations at each performance and many audience members left the theatre singing the musical numbers from the performance.
Music for the show was provided by a 12-member student orchestra under the direction of George Heffentrager, a 10-year veteran instrumental music teacher at the school.
