The Bordentown Presbyterian Church will hold its monthly Café 420 on at 7 p.m. at 420 Farnsworth Ave., Bordentown. This month’s event will feature Too Many Cooks (traditional American Blues, Celtic, Contemporary) and Mike and Flora (best of 70s classic rock, jazz, originals and folk). The Dorothea Dix Unitarian Universalist Community, 39 Park St., Bordentown, will holds its annual benefit auction at 2 p.m. Admission is free. Events include a live auction, silent auction, and ticket or “chance” auction. Among the items up for bid are gift certificates for local businesses, a wide range of services, and theme baskets. Sat., March 22
A pancake breakfast fundraiser is being hosted by the Holy Cross Lutheran Church Youth Group on Saturday, March 22nd from 8 to 11 a.m. at the church located at 280 Crosswicks Road in Bordentown. All proceeds go toward educational scholarships for graduating members. Cost is $6 per adult, $3 per child and free for children under three.

Burlington County Hadassah Chapter will meet at Temple Har Zion, High and Ridgway streets, Mount Holly. Following refreshments at 12:30 p.m. and brief business meeting at 1 p.m., guest speaker Dr. Robert Fischl, professor emeritus of Electrical & Computer Engineering, Drexel University, will display 14 posters illustrating artwork created by his cousin, Sonja Fischerova, while imprisoned in the Terezin concentration camp 1942-1944. The images in her legacy provide a unique humanistic view to learn about the Holocaust and tolerance. Guests are welcome. Call 609 291-9513.

The Bordentown City Cats animal rescue group will host its 11th annual indoor flea market fundraiser 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Carslake Community Center, 207 Crosswicks St., Bordentown City, with all proceeds benefiting the group’s efforts to rescue and care for the city’s stray and feral cat population. The cost to rent space is $20 (contact the group and pay in advance). The community center will be open the night before the market from 4 to 7 p.m. for advance setup. Bordentown Elks Lodge 2085 has bingo every Tuesday at 7:15 p.m.
Doors open at 5 p.m. There is a progressive jackpot, and food is available for purchase. The lodge has sandwich night every Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. The price is $6 per person.Lodge 2085 hosts a breakfast the third Sunday of every month from 8 to 11 a.m. All proceeds benefit the Special Children’s Committee.
The Consolidated Fire Association will sponsor Bingo every Wednesday night at St. Mary’s School starting Sept. 18. The doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and the games will start at 7 p.m.

The club meets the first and third Monday of each month at 1 p.m. at the Senior Community Center on Municipal Drive. All township seniors age 55 and older are welcome.
Book collection. Every first Saturday of the month from April through October, with the exception of July, the Friends of the Plumsted Township Library will be collecting used books for future book sales. Fiction, nonfiction, large print, children’s, CDs, DVDs, audio books and jigsaw puzzles are accepted. Do not donate soiled, mildewed items. Videotapes, Readers Digest condensed books, magazines or encyclopedias are not accepted.
