The VFW #8838 on 10th Ave. in Roebling will hold a meeting March 18 at 7:15 p.m. All members are urged to attend. New members are welcome also.
Contrary to rumors, VFW Post #8838 is not closing its’ doors.
The Florence United Methodist Church in Florence is celebrating it’s 175th Anniversary this year. The church will be holding a roast pork and sauerkraut dinner on March 22, 5:30 p.m. at the church located at 209 Broad St. in Florence.
The price of the tickets is $15 for adults and $7.50 for children. Take-outs will be available at 5 p.m. Call 609-499-1731 or 609-499-1129 for tickets.

The American Legion Post 39 in Roebling will have its annual ham and cabbage dinner on March 20 at 6:30 p.m.
All are invited. The cost is $120 per person.
The Post will host a pasta dinner on March 28, from 6 to 9 p.m. Cost is $12 and includes pasta, meatballs, sausage, salad, bread and dessert. There will also be a cash bar. Cost for children 12 and under is $5 and children under 5 east free.

Saturday, March 15 the American Legion, located at 112-114 Fourth Ave. in Roebling, will host hold Shamrock Oldies. Doors open at 6 p.m., with dinner served at 6:30 p.m.
The event will feature dancing to oldies with DJ Jeff from 8 to 11:30 p.m. Dinner menu is prepared by the ladies Auxiliary, and includes roast beef, sausage w/ peppers and onions, pulled pork BBQ, meatballs, salad and dessert.
The reservation deadline is March 11 and prices are $28 per person,, $55 per couple. The costs for any reservation accepted after March 11 is $30 per person.
Tickets will not be sold at the door.

Friday, March 7 at 7 p.m. is World Day of Prayer for all women, men and children of Florence Township. Many churches in the township will be participating.

Donations always are needed.
The pantry is at the Florence United Methodist Church on Second and Broad streets in Florence.
The food pantry is open Fridays from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Come to the front door.
