Watercolors reflect memorable Red Bank scenes

 Red Bank train station Red Bank train station A n exhibit of watercolors by local artist Linné Grant is on view at the Red Bank Public Library through April.

The exhibit features 19 images of iconic Red Bank scenes, including ice boating on the Navesink; the old Woolworth’s, once a Broad Street fixture; the Red Bank train station; and Itri’s Luncheonette.

Grant is a detail-oriented watercolorist whose artwork mainly portrays older buildings with character in Monmouth County.

Her subjects include older buildings and everyday landmarks that the local viewer may have visited or stumbled upon around the county.

Grant’s works have been displayed in exhibitions at the Monmouth Beach Cultural Center and the Oceanic Free Library in Rumson.

The Red Bank Public Library is located at 84 West Front St. Library hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and Thursday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, 1-9 p.m. Wednesday, and 1-5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
