HILLSBOROUGH: Narcotics, drugs seized in township

   Stephen Theodore, 19, of Flemming Drive, Hillsborough Township, was charged and a 17-year-old Hillsborough boy detained after a month-long narcotics investigation conducted by the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Organized Crime and Narcotics Task Force and the Hillsborough Township Police Department.
   On March 6, at about 6:30 p.m., detectives executed a search warrant at Mr. Theodore’s residence. Detectives searched his personal vehicle, a red Ford Explorer. The search resulted in the seizure of 5 ½ ounces of marijuana, 13 grams of cocaine, 82 tabs of LSD, 3 ½ grams of MDMA (molly), 9 grams of psilocybin (mushrooms) and drug paraphernalia (baggies and scales). Detective also seized $4,495 in cash.
   In addition, detectives searched the residence and bedroom of the juvenile and seized a half-pound of marijuana and $2,867 in currency. An additional 1 ¼ pounds of marijuana, along with drug paraphernalia (scales and baggies), were seized from the basement.
   The marijuana, cocaine, psilocybin mushrooms, LSD and MDMA (Molly) have an estimated street value of $8,000, $910, $450, $1,640 and $350, respectively — a total of $11,350.
   Mr. Theodore was charged with:
   • Possession of marijuana and cocaine with intent to distribute, 3rd degree;
   • Possession of LSD with intent to distribute, 1st degree;
   • Possession of MDMA and psilocybin, both 3rd degree crimes, and
   • Possession of drug paraphernalia, a disorderly persons offense.
   The juvenile was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute (3rd degree) and possession of drug paraphernalia, a disorderly person offense.
   Mr. Theodore was taken to the Somerset County Jail, and the juvenile was released to his parents.
   Police note that charges are an accusation and that the defendants and juveniles are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty or adjudicated delinquent.
