HILLSBOROUGH: Scrap metal taken from Stryker Road business

   Hillsborough police said that a business on Stryker Road business reported Feb. 26 that various types of scrap metal were taken from outside the business the previous night.
   Additionally, two metal rails attached to a work vehicle were taken. The total value of stolen items was put at $700.
   • A Hamilton Road resident reported Feb. 19 that the home was entered and various electronics, estimated at a value of $4,100, were taken during daytime.
   • A resident of Eve’s Drive building complex reported on March 2 that someone had written graffiti on the doors of an elevator sometime in the previous 24 hours.
   • Police reported two incidents of alleged driving while under the influence. In both cases, the men refused to give samples of their breath for analysis, for which they were additionally charged.
    Aaron Davis, 30, of Somerset was charged March 3 after his vehicle was stopped on Valley Road. He was also charged with refusing to submit breath samples.
   Tywon Wright, 30, of Plainfield was charged after his vehicle became disabled Feb. 24 in a snow bank on Valley Road, police said. He was also charged with careless driving and driving while his license was suspended.
   Both men were released with orders to come to municipal court.
