FLORENCE — With the World Cup in Brazil only a few months away and with around 20 million Americans now playing the sport, Challenger Sports has been invited to hold one of their highly regarded TetraBrazil Soccer Academy Camps in the township.
The camp will take place Aug. 4-8 at Veterans Park, 727 Broad St., Florence. Morning and advanced player evening options are available for players ages 4 to 14.
During the camps, each child will be coached by a member of Challenger’s TetraBrazil coaching staff flown from Brazil to exclusively to work on these programs, according to a press release.
In addition to taking part in a daily regimen of foot skill development, technical and tactical practices and daily ‘World Cup’ tournament style plays, each child will be treated to a rich cultural experience and lessons on respect, responsibility, integrity, leadership and sportsmanship, per the release.
Each camper will receive a free camp T-shirt, soccer ball, soccer poster, individual skills performance evaluation and free access to an educational soccer website. In addition, any child who signs up online at least 45 days prior to camp will receive a genuine TetraBrazil Soccer replica Jersey valued at $39.
