The State Library Hosts Martha Washington for Women’s History Month

By Gary Cooper
On Wednesday, March 26 from noon to 1 p.m. the State Library, 185 West State Street, Trenton, will present a free program by Maggie Worsdale entitled First Ladies according to Martha Washington. The program will be held in the Level 2 Reading Room of the library.
In this program, Worsdale, a member of the Traveling Literary Theater, portrays Martha Washington, recounting some tales about her eight years as the first of America’s first ladies, and dishing some dirt on some other first ladies, as well.
The Traveling Literary Theatre was established in 2005 and is dedicated to the craft of characterization reading. Worsdale participates in each of the four shows the Traveling Theatre actors perform. As an international artist, Worsdale has performed at many of the major concert halls, cabarets and jazz venues around the country and in Europe. She has released four studio albums, with jazz, broadway songs, standards and novelty songs all part of her repertoire.
All are welcome; RSVP is appreciated. Contact Cindy Warrick at [email protected] or 609-278-2640 ext. 172.
