HAMILTON — The Hamilton Township Library is offering free basic computer skill classes through April 10.
The courses cover basics such as using email, Microsoft Office applications and Facebook.
Classes about the ins and outs of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Publisher will be offered Tuesday, March 25 at 6:30 p.m. and Thursday, March 27 at 10 a.m. Classes typically run for an hour.
Residents can learn more about how to utilize e-mail during courses offered Tuesday, April 1 at 6:30 p.m. and Thursday, April 3 at 10 a.m.
In the final course, participants will learn how to sign up for and navigate the social media site Facebook. These courses will be offered Tuesday, April 8 at 6:30 p.m. and Thursday, April 10 at 10 a.m.
Computers, provided by the Friends of the Hamilton Public Library, will be available for use by the first 11 people who register. If a given class is full, participants will be placed on a waiting list. Participants are welcome to bring paper and pencil or their own laptop computer.
To participate, attendees must have a valid Hamilton Township library card in good standing. To sign up, visit the reference desk in the library, located at 1 Justice Samuel A. Alito Jr. Way.
