   School meeting: 8th grade transition meeting for students and parents, 6:30-8 p.m. at the high school.
   Sat., March 22
   Benefit dinner: Manville Rescue Squad Auxiliary’s “all you can eat” sliced filet mignon dinner to benefit the Manville First Aid & Rescue Squad, promptly at 6 p.m. at VFW, 600 Washington Ave. Tickets $35. For info, call Betty Ann at 908-725-3694 or any auxiliary member.

   Borough Council: Meets at 6:30 in municipal building.
March 27-29
   Drama production: Manville High School Drama Club presents “Little Shop of Horrors,” 7 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday in high school auditorium. The musical comedy is about a hapless florist shop worker who raises a plant that feeds on humans. The music is in the style of early 1960’s rock and roll, doo-wop and early Motown.
Sun., April 6
   Breakfast: Christ the Redeemer Parish holds breakfast of scrambled eggs, sausage, pancakes, French toast and potatoes. 8-11:30 a.m. in auditorium of Sacred Heart Church, South Main and Filak streets. Tickets sold at door at $5 for adults, $2 for children 6-12 years old and free for 5 years old and younger. For information, call 908-725-0072.

   Slavic dinner: St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church holds monthly dinner, 4 to 7 p.m., St. Mary Parish Center, 1900 Brooks Blvd. $13 for adults (ages 9 and up) and $5 for children (8 and under). All-you-can-eat pirohi, stuffed cabbage, kielbasa and sauerkraut, mashed potatoes. A surprise entrée will be prepared by St. Mary’s chef John Pagano. Orders to go are available.    Flea market and craft show: Vendors and crafters wanted for indoor/outdoor event by Manville First Aid & Rescue Squad Auxiliary to benefit the squad. 9 a.m.-2 p.m. VFW hall, 600 Washington Ave. Bake sale. Breakfast/lunch available. Free admission. For table rentals, call Pauline at 908-725-1246.

   Tax help for seniors: AARP volunteers will be available to prepare senior citizens’ income tax forms for free at the Manville Public Library until April 10. The library only provides the Community Room. An appointment must be made by calling Tax Help for Seniors at 908-541-5710.
   Bulk trash pick-up: Next collection scheduled for March 25, and April 8 and 22.
   Blood pressure checks: Second Thursday of the month, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., VFW.

   Borough Hall hours: Offices continue to be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Fridays and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays.
