   Coach/Vera Bradley Handbag Bingo & Mini Gift Auction will be held at the Bordentown Regional Middle School, 50 Dunns Mill Road. Doors open at 6 p.m. and games begin at 7 p.m. Admission is $25 and includes 16 games of bingo and 5 gift auction tickets. All proceeds benefit the Peter Muschal Elementary School PTA.    A free 10 a.m. Open House and a special service honoring the 212th birthday of Dorothea Dix featuring a presentation of “Compassion in Action: The Life and Good Works of Dorothea Dix” by Dr. Michael Skelly, historian and executive director of Bordentown Heritage, will be held at the Dorothea Dix Unitarian Universalist Community, 39 Park St., Bordentown Dr. Skelly will tell the story of Dorothea Dix, who overcame a troubled family background to become a champion of the humane treatment of people with mentally illness, taking her case to lawmakers, presidents, the pope, and kings.    Holy Cross Lutheran Preschool annual Open House andregistration will be held from 12 to 1 p.m. Enrollment for preschoolwill be open to the public and registration will be accepted on afirst-come, first-served basis.    The Bordentown City Cats animal rescue group will host its 11th annual indoor flea market fundraiser 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Carslake Community Center, 207 Crosswicks St., Bordentown City, with all proceeds benefiting the group’s efforts to rescue and care for the city’s stray and feral cat population. The cost to rent space is $20 (contact the group and pay in advance). The community center will be open the night before the market from 4 to 7 p.m. for advance setup.    Easter Spring Fling, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 280 Crosswicks Road, Bordentown. All are invited for a day of crafts,games, food, and a traditional Easter egg hunt (11 a.m. and 1 p.m.) aswell as vendors and crafters. An offering donation of a family-size bottle of shampoo, body wash and/or body lotion will be graciously accepted to be donated to those in need during the church’s monthly Isaiah Project ministry meal supportingfamilies who live in the local motels.    The Bordentown Elks will hold a flea market from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Rain date is Sat., May 3.    The Women’s Society of the First Baptist Church, corner of Prince and Church streets, Bordentown, is having its annual Pennsylvania Dutch family style smorgasbord supper from 3to 6:30 p.m. Place $15.50 take-out orders by April 20. Liberty Lake Foundation Community Day, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., 1195 Florence-Columbus Road, Bordentown. Parking and admission is free, while some activities will ask for donations to the Liberty Lake Foundation. A non-profit organization, the foundation’s mission is to provide camperships, as well as opportunities for children to grow and learn within a healthy, safe, and nurturing environment. There will also be a Red Cross Blood Drive (interested parties can sign up online). Activities will include a charity Wiffle ball tournament; Chinese auction; fitness classes featuring Zumba; camp activities such as boating, laser tag and archery tag, mini-golf, rock wall; live music; NJ Renaissance Faire characters; Boot Camp obstacle course; and other family activities including the pirate ship playground, gaga, basketball, and volleyball.    Bordentown Elks Lodge 2085 has bingo every Tuesday at 7:15 p.m.
   Doors open at 5 p.m. There is a progressive jackpot, and food is available for purchase. The lodge has sandwich night every Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. The price is $6 per person.Lodge 2085 hosts a breakfast the third Sunday of every month from 8 to 11 a.m. All proceeds benefit the Special Children’s Committee.
   The Consolidated Fire Association will sponsor Bingo every Wednesday night at St. Mary’s School starting Sept. 18. The doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and the games will start at 7 p.m.
