HAMILTON — In the past two weeks Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton has announced a new CFO and CMO.
Tuesday RWJ Hamilton announced Gil Cottle of Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania, has joined the hospital as CFO and senior vice president.
The announcement comes just a week after Dr. Robert M. Pickoff, of Morristown, was named CMO.
According to a hospital release, Mr. Cottle comes to RWJ Hamilton with more than 35 years of experience as a CFO, including the last 15 years at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, which is part of the Tenet Healthcare System.
Prior to working for St. Christopher’s, Cottle worked 20 years as CFO in the Columbia Arlington Healthcare System and Columbia Arlington Hospital in Arlington, Virginia.
”We are very fortunate to add a person of Gil’s caliber to our team,” said Skip Cimino, president and CEO at RWJ Hamilton. “Gil has demonstrated operational results in revenue cycle, decision support, managed care, health information management, information systems, and growth and cost initiatives.”
Dr. Pickoff comes to RWJ Hamilton with similarly extensive experience in the field, having more than 16 years of management experience in the hospital industry with particular background in clinical, regulatory and medical affairs, according to a hospital release.
Dr. Pickoff, a board-certified internist who specializes in cardiovascular disease, comes to RWJ Hamilton after serving as chief medical officer at Hunterdon Medical Center and Saint Clare’s Health System in Denville.
”Dr. Pickoff’s breadth and depth of experience as well as his passion for patients and improving outcomes in healthcare delivery are most impressive,” Mr. Cimino said. “He has proven success as an outstanding physician, healthcare practice executive and leader.
As RWJ Hamilton CMO, Dr. Pickoff will be responsible for the coordination of medical affairs and the medical staff offices, as well as assist in the achievement of the hospital’s goals as it relates to quality, service and physician alignment.
