MANVILLE: ‘Little Shop of Horrors’ runs through Saturday

March 27-29
   Drama production: Manville High School Drama Club presents “Little Shop of Horrors,” 7 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday in high school auditorium. The musical comedy tells the tale of a hapless florist shop worker who raises a plant that feeds on humans. The music is in the style of early 1960’s rock and roll, doo-wop and early Motown.
Sun., April 6
   Breakfast: Christ the Redeemer Parish holds breakfast of scrambled eggs, sausage, pancakes, French toast and potatoes. 8-11:30 a.m. in auditorium of Sacred Heart Church, South Main and Filak streets. Tickets sold at door at $5 for adults, $2 for children 6-12 years old and free for 5 years old and younger. For information, call 908-725-0072.
   Tricky tray: The Ladies Auxiliary of the Millstone Valley Fire Department will hold its 20th annual sale at the firehouse, 2365 Amwell Road, East Millstone. $4 admission. Doors open 1:30 p.m., drawings begin at 3. Extra raffles and door prizes. Free coffee and cake. For info, call 908-229-9437.

   Slavic dinner: St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church holds monthly dinner, 4 to 7 p.m., St. Mary Parish Center, 1900 Brooks Blvd. $13 for adults (ages 9 and up) and $5 for children (8 and under). All-you-can-eat pirohi, stuffed cabbage, kielbasa and sauerkraut, mashed potatoes. A surprise entrée will be prepared by St. Mary’s chef John Pagano. Orders to go are available.    Spaghetti dinner: Benefit to raise money to offset medical costs for the Monto family, whose son, Alexander. James Monto is a Manville firefighter and rescue squad member. 4-8 p.m. at Manville Fire Company No. 1, 20 So. 3rd Ave. Sponsored by the Volunteer Emergency Services of Manville.

   Flea market and craft show: Vendors and crafters wanted for indoor/outdoor event by Manville First Aid & Rescue Squad Auxiliary to benefit the squad. 9 a.m.-2 p.m. VFW hall, 600 Washington Ave. Bake sale. Breakfast/lunch available. Free admission. For table rentals, call Pauline at 908-725-1246.
April 17-19
   Flower sale: The Manville North End Volunteer Fire Company No. 3 and Ladies Auxiliary will hold its annual Easter flower sale. A variety of plants for gift giving will be available. Special sale night on Thursday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the firehouse at the corner of North 8th Avenue and Louis Street. The sale moves outside to the parking lot of Rhythm’s (South Main and Wilhousky streets) on Friday, opening at noon, and Saturday, starting at 9 am. Children can enter a free drawing for an Easter basket.

   Tax help for seniors: AARP volunteers will be available to prepare senior citizens’ income tax forms for free at the Manville Public Library until April 10. The library only provides the Community Room. An appointment must be made by calling Tax Help for Seniors at 908-541-5710.
   Bulk trash pick-up: Next collections scheduled for April 8 and 22.
   Blood pressure checks: Second Thursday of the month, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., VFW.
