NEW HOPE: New Hope police report $10,000 theft of copper

   Representatives from AT&T and Verizon reported to police on March 18, that, at some time over the prior four months, copper buss bars and wiring, with a value in excess of $10,000, had been removed from a facility on North Stockton Avenue.
   • At 12:32 a.m. on March 18, police arrested Rachel Carroll, 37, of New Hope, for terroristic threats, following a disturbance at her residence. Ms. Carroll was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Charles Baum, and was sent to the Bucks County Correctional Facility on $20,000 bail.
   • At 12:24 p.m. March 17 the owner of a West Bridge Street establishment reported to police that several bottles of alcohol had been removed from within the building. Police have a suspect, and are continuing their investigation.
   • At 1:56 a.m. March 9 police cited Stephen Hunter, 27, of Augusta, N.J., for public drunkenness, after a North Main Street homeowner found him wandering in the back yard of his residence.
   • At 10:50 a.m. Feb. 27 a contractor reported to police that, at some time during the prior 10 days, three windows, valued at $1,500, had been broken at a home at which he is working on South Sugan Road.
   At 1:03 a.m. Feb. 13, police arrested Michael Linzey, 44, of Flemington, for driving under the influence of alcohol, after he was found sitting in his running vehicle in a West Bridge Street driveway.
   A North Main Street resident reported to police Feb. 4 that, over the prior three months, someone had used her credit card to pay cell phone bills. Police have a suspect, and are continuing their investigation.
   At 12:15 p.m. Jan. 22 the owner of a South Main Street business reported to police that, at some time during overnight hours, someone had forced their way into the store through the front door, and had removed items from within.
   At 4:30 p.m. Jan. 19 a Solebury Township man reported to police that, at sometime during the prior three days, someone had smashed the passenger side windows in his vehicle while it had been parked in a West Bridge Street parking lot.
   Thus far this winter police have issued 22 citations to individuals who have failed to clear their sidewalk of snow. Property owners and business owners are reminded that they are responsible for clearing their sidewalk of snow within 24 hours of the end of a snowfall.
