On March 9, at about 11:11 a.m., West Amwell Township Cpl. Timothy Vanselous responded to Rocktown-Lambertville Road for a report of a van off the roadway and into a tree.
The driver, Jesus Alvarez Garcia, 30, from West Amwell Township, was arrested and issued summonses for driving while under the influence, careless driving, failure to keep right, and refusing to provide breath samples.
Mr. Garcia did not report any injuries from the crash. After processing he was released with a court date.
Police also reported two warrant stops.
On March 5, at about 10:37 p.m. Patrolman Jonathan Sellner stopped a vehicle on Route 579 for a suspected motor vehicle violation. A computer check showed that the driver, Donald Brown Jr., 42, from Clearmont, Fla., had a pending motor vehicle warrant from the New Brunswick Municipal Court.
Mr. Brown was arrested and turned over to the New Brunswick Police Department.
On March 7, 2014 at about 5:21 a.m. Patrolman Sellner stopped a vehicle on Queen Road for a motor vehicle violation. A computer check showed that the driver, Michael Griffin, 39, from Stockton, had two pending traffic warrants. One was from the East Amwell Municipal Court for $81 and the other was from Trenton Municipal Court for $89. Mr. Griffin was released after posting bail.
