A joint undercover investigation has led to the arrest of Erick Martinez-Guerra, 22, and Shony S. Martinez, 21, both of Lambertville.
Mr. Martinez-Guerra was charged with distribution of marijuana, possession with the intent to distribute marijuana, possession with the intent to distribute cocaine, and conspiracy to distribute.
Mr. Martinez was charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession with the intent to distribute cocaine.
According to Hunterdon Prosecutor Anthony Kearns III, “During the six-week undercover investigation, detectives made undercover purchases of controlled substances from Erick Martinez-Guerra in the City of Lambertville.”
On Friday, March 28, detectives from the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office, the Lambertville and Buckingham Township (Pa.) police departments and the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement executed a court-authorized search warrant at the Martinez-Guerra residence. Police seized more than 2.5 pounds of marijuana, about one ounce of cocaine, and items consistent with drug distribution, they said. Police estimated the street value of the narcotics was $5,000.
The men were lodged in the Hunterdon County Jail pending a first court appearance.
