Police are searching for a man who allegedly grabbed a Lawrence Township woman from behind as she was walking in the area of Eldridge Avenue and Rossa Avenue at 10:47 p.m. March 26, according to the Lawrence Township Police Department.
The 25-year-old victim was wearing headphones and when the battery to the device died, she took them off, police said. That’s when she heard someone running up behind her. The man grabbed her from behind and gave her a bear hug, rubbing his groin against her backside.
The victim broke free and ran home to call the Police Department, police said. She was taken to the Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton, where she was treated for contusions and released.
The victim described her assailant as a light-skinned black male or Hispanic male, about 5 feet 6 inches tall. He is in his late teens or early 20s. He was wearing a black, hooded sweatshirt.
