Will face Szabo, Camacho for Borough Council in fall

Harry Bugal Jr. will team with incumbent Ed Komoroski as Democratic candidates for Borough Council.
The pair filed Monday under the county Democratic Organization ballot tag line. Mr. Bugal ran last year and fourth in a six-way race for three seats.
They’ll face three-term incumbent Stephen Szabo and Dayna Camacho, who filed as Republican candidates.
Mr. Szabo and Ms. Camacho are the GOP’s municipal committee endorsed candidates in this year’s race for Borough Council.
Two three-year seats are up.
The June 3 primary election ballot will have no contests for nominations.
Mr. Bugal has been a police officer in Clinton Township for more than 15 years.
Mr. Komoroski will be seeking a thrid term.
Mr. Szabo spent 10 years as a special police officer A Marine Corps veteran, he is both a VFW and American Legion life member and past post commander.
Ms. Camacho is the president of the Manville Republican Club and the Alexander Batcho Intermediate School PTA. She is working at Roosevelt School as a lunch lady and is a licensed hairdresser. Ms. Camacho and her husband are former business owners of Ted’s Pizzeria on South Main Street.
Somerset County Freeholders Robert Zabrowski of Somerset and Peter Palmer of Bernardsville filed for re-election. They are Republicans.
For the Democratic Party, Anthony Pranzatelli of Bound Brook and Joan Pritchard of Bridgewater filed with their county committee’s blessing.
