Aleesha Newell, 22, of Review Avenue, was charged with driving under the influence, possession of drug paraphernalia and other motor vehicle violations after she was stopped on Lawrence Road/Route 206 at 2:28 a.m. March 31. Police discovered she had four glass pipes, six plastic baggies and a metal hair clip in her possession.
Sherelle Armstrong, 25, of Trenton, was charged with receiving stolen property after she was found to have $335.90 worth of clothing from H&M, still containing anti-theft devices, in an Old Navy shopping bag at 1:58 p.m. April 1 after police were notified of a suspicious person in the parking lot at the Quaker Bridge Mall. She was found to have an outstanding warrant and bail was set at a total of $2,500 with a 10-percent option.
Dontae Douglas, 19, of Trenton, was charged with possession of alcohol while underage and Brittney McMillian, 25, of Trenton, was charged with obstruction of the administration of law and justice at 2:43 p.m. April 2 at the Quaker Bridge Mall. Patrons at the mall contacted security to report that they appeared to be intoxicated and were screaming at people. Mall security personnel tried to escort them from the mall, and called police for help.
Max Rebhun, 19, of Commack, N.Y., was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia as he tried to enter the South Gate at Rider University at 1:35 a.m. April 3.
An unknown shoplifter stole 150 pairs of panties, worth a combined $2,000, from Victoria’s Secret April 3.
The ShopRite grocery store at the Mercer Mall was evacuated at 10:55 p.m. April 3 after a caller told police that a bomb was set to go off at 12:05 a.m. April 4. Police investigated, but did not find any suspicious people or packages in the store.
Kevin Carlin, 56, of Glenn Avenue, was charged with receiving stolen property at 11:29 a.m. April 4 after police found a 2004 Volvo at his home that had been reported stolen from Hamilton Township.
Two storage units at Public Storage on Brunswick Pike were entered between 4 p.m. April 3 and 4 p.m. April 4, after the manager discovered the locks had been removed on the storage units. A box of compact discs, valued at $50, was missing from one storage unit, but nothing was missing from the other one.
George Mayer, 72, of Monroe, was charged with driving under the influence and other motor vehicle violations at 10:43 p.m. April 4 after he was observed driving erratically on Interstate Highway 95.
An undisclosed amount of cash was reported stolen from a safe at the Dollar Tree store on Brunswick Pike during a burglary that was discovered by employees who arrived for work at 6:05 a.m. April 5.
The employees noticed an odor of burning wires and when they entered the store, they found the safe had been entered and its contents strewn nearby. The burglars cut a hole in the roof of the building to get inside and then used a tool to cut open the safe.
A 17-year-old Lawrence High School boy was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon in school and issuing terroristic threats at 12:20 p.m. April 7 after he allegedly threatened to harm a 15-year-old girl. He was carrying a knife with a 3-inch blade.
