MILLSTONE — Scott T. Feder, superintendent of the Millstone Township District, announced the “sudden death” of Grace Giffen Monday evening in a letter sent home to parents.
Grace, 16, a sophomore at Red Bank Regional High School, lived in Millstone and formerly attended township schools, according to the April 9 letter.
”At this time, we have few details regarding Grace’s passing. Of paramount concern is the well-being of our students and staff during this difficult time,” Mr. Feder wrote, adding that counselors would be available to assist students coping with grief.
”Our hearts go out to Grace’s family,” Mr. Feder wrote. “It is during times like this that we are reminded of what is truly important. We will support each other and try to make sense of something that seems so senseless.”
