Once at school, everything impacts student learning

To the editor:
    Bravo! Well deserved!
The Hopewell Valley school board is to be commended for eliminating activity fees in its budgetary plan.
Those activities are not extracurricular (with all due respect to your excellent writer). They are, as President Lisa Wolff stated, co-curricular.
It is critical to keep in mind when educating students that the minute they walk through the school door (and in our case, the school bus door) everything impacts upon their ability to learn, their attitude and their developing values.
Whether it be athletics, dramatics, clubs, well-taught lessons, supportive adult attitudes and peer relationships, it is all part of that total school approach toward paving a good life.
