 The Jackson Rotary will host a pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon May 10 at the Jackson Senior Center, 45 Don Connor Blvd, Jackson. The fee to attend is a donated item for the Jackson Food Pantry of diapers, baby formula, boxed cereal or canned goods.

 Jackson residents can receive emergency notifications and other important community news by signing up for the municipality’s emergency notification system at the website http://911inform.com/signup/jackson/jKs30pO3. Time-sensitive messages such as severe weather, unexpected road closures, missing persons, etc., can be sent to home, cell, or business phones and emails.

 A Meet the Mayor session with Jackson Mayor Mike Reina will be held at 7 p.m. April 28 in the main meeting room of the Jackson municipal building, 95 West Veterans Highway, Jackson. Residents may attend and speak with the mayor.

 “A Kind Heart,” a true story written through the eyes of Brian Lodato, a young man who has achieved much despite having autism, will hit the stage at 3 p.m. April 18- 19 at The Grange Playhouse, 4860 Route 9 South, Howell.  The Fossils of South Jersey car club will hold its 26th annual car show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 17 at Jackson Memorial High School, 101 Don Connor Blvd., Jackson (rain date is May 18). The show is open to all American-made or American-powered vehicles made in 1989 or older. Fee is $12 in advance and $15 the day of the show.  An all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast fundraiser, hosted by Boy Scout Troop 515, Ramtown-Howell, will be held from 8-11:30 a.m. May 4 at Howell Elks Lodge No. 2515, 84 Ramtown-Greenville Road, Howell. Food will include pancakes, sausages, coffee, tea and orange juice. Donation: $7 for adults, $3 for ages 3-12, free under age 3.

 Members of the Buddha’s Light International Association of New Jersey will share their culture and show off their talents at 2 p.m. May 17 at the Jackson Library, 2 Jackson Drive, Jackson.  Boy Scout Troop 152 and Cub Scout Pack 152, both from Jackson, are holding a flapjack fundraiser breakfast from 8-10 a.m. May 10 at Applebee’s, 4721 Route 9 North, Howell. Cost is $10 per person.
