LAWRENCE: Police blotter

   April Collins, 37, of Hamilton, was charged with driving under the influence, reckless driving and driving with an expired driver’s license after she was stopped on Brunswick Pike at 12:48 p.m. April 14 by police, who were looking for her in connection with a disturbance that had occurred a few minutes earlier at a Rosalind Road residence.
   An undisclosed amount of cash, plus jewelry valued at $2,000, were reported stolen from a Trumbull Avenue home between midnight April 13 and 8 a.m. April 15. The point of entry into the house may have been through the rear door.
   Tiana Barnes, 33, of Ewing Township, who worked as a loss prevention officer for Lord & Taylor, was charged with shoplifting for taking four pairs of sunglasses, valued at a combined $480, at 1:33 p.m. April 15. An anonymous tip led to an investigation and the resultant charge.
   A 14-year-old Plainsboro girl reported the theft of her purse from a chair near the Dunkin’ Donuts store at the Quaker Bridge Mall at 3:37 p.m. April 16. She left the purse on the chair and when she returned, it was gone.
   Corinne Levy, 19, of Tuckerton, was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia (five plastic bottles used for ingesting marijuana, a metal grinder, a cigar blunt and baggies) after an odor of marijuana smoke was detected coming from her Poyda Dorm room at 4:13 p.m. April 18.
   A man and a woman made off with $60 worth of clothing from Sears after paying for the clothing with counterfeit $20 bills at 1:11 p.m. April 20. The store clerk did not realize at first that the bills were fake. It was discovered later on when the bills were checked.
   A Darrah Lane resident reported at 1:51 a.m. April 21 that someone cut the right front tire on his car and also cracked the front windshield in three places while the car was parked at his residence. Damage was estimated at $350.
   A call to respond to a disturbance at the Sleepy Hollow motel on Brunswick Pike at 7:30 a.m. April 21 resulted in a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia (crack pipe) being filed against Shirlyn Hightower, 46, of Trenton. She was taken to the Mercer County Corrections Center on $1,000 bail with a 10-percent option for outstanding warrants.
   Aldo Anderson, 43, of Trenton, who was also involved in the incident, was turned over to the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office after it was discovered during the police investigation that he was wanted by that agency.
   A Woodmont Drive resident reported the theft of a wedding ring from her home between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. April 19. There were no signs of forced entry.
