The Rumson Country Day School (RCDS) is hosting a “Students Rock Out for Sandy Ground” concert from 2-4 p.m. April 27, at the school’s Blake Gymnasium, 35 Bellevue Ave., Rumson.
All proceeds will benefit the Sandy Ground: Where Angels Play organization, which builds new playgrounds dedicated to the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in Newtown, Conn.
The concert is the brainchild of Max Kyrillos, an eighth-grade student at RCDS, who was inspired by the 12-12-12 relief concert in New York City.
Featured musicians will include The Stone Bullets, Aardvark Smile and a special appearance by Bobby Bandiera of Bon Jovi fame.
The cost is $10 per person and free for children age 5 or younger.
