POLICE BLOTTER: April 24

   Police reported making 23 motor vehicle stops and issuing seven summonses between 7:45 and 11:33 a.m. April 14.

   Lisa Bunsco, 42, of Hillsborough was charged with driving while intoxicated at 11:16 p.m. April 14. A motorist reported an erratic driver in a small silver four-door vehicle in the area of Brooks Boulevard and North 1st Avenue. Police located the vehicle in the post office parking lot. Police said she also refused to submit to breath tests.

   A 2014 Ford Fusion reported stolen from Fullerton Ford in Somerville on April 10 was located at a body shop on Kennedy Boulevard at about 11 a.m. April 15. Initially the car had been dropped off for service. The identification was confirmed and the dealership was to pick it up.

   Jose Perez, 54, of Manville was charged with driving while under the influence at 12:45 a.m. April 16 on S.13th and Washington avenues. He also was charged with failure to stop or yield.

   Robert Pierrot, 21, of Somerville was charged with possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia at 7:40 p.m. April 18. He was released with a date to come to municipal court.

   Tieyese Brown, 43, of Manville was charged with shoplifting items valued at $118.66 from Walmart on North Main Street at 8:34 p.m. April 18.

   John DelNegro, 43, of Bridgewater was charged with two counts of shoplifting at Walmart at 2:20 p.m. April 19. He was turned over to Raritan Borough on a pending municipal warrant.

   Dust from work of a contractor remodeling an apartment on South Main Street set off a fire alarm at 1:29 p.m. April 20. He apparently did not cover the smoke detector.

   Arvin Rivas, 28, of Plainfield was charged at 2 p.m. April 20 with shoplifting electronic speakers from Walmart on North Main Street. Police said he also hindered his arrest. Bail was fixed at $1,000, with no option to pay 10 percent in cash. He was taken to Somerset County Jail in lieu of bail.

   The property manager called at 5:14 p.m. April 20 to say teenagers were trying to get into a home under construction on Dukes Parkway after being told to stay away.

   Oscar Matysiak, 21, of Hillsborough, was charged with shoplifting, and possession of what police suspected was heroin at 6:11 p.m. April 20 at Walmart. He was given notice of arraignment and released on his own say-so.

   A caller said a man on a bike appeared to be dragging a dog at 6:35 p.m. April 20 on South Main Street. Police located a Manville man on a bike holding a leash with a large black dog that appeared to be favoring its rear right leg but was walking on it.

   A truck driver who reportedly almost hit another vehicle on East Main and Riha streets at 9 p.m. April 20 was stopped and Pedro A. Navarro, 33, of Hillsborough was charged with driving while intoxicated. He was released to a friend and the truck towed.

   Police recorded a hit-and-run of parked car at 9:05 p.m. April 20 on Roosevelt Avenue. The area was checked with no success.
