The Lawrenceville School’s 11th annual Big Red Race will be held May 4 on the school’s campus at 2500 Main Street. It raises money to send under-served Lawrence Township children to The Lawrenceville School Camp in Warren County.
The starting gun for the adult 5K race starts at 10:15 a.m., rain or shine. Races, ranging from 25 meters to a half mile, will be available for children ages 3-11, starting at 9 a.m.
Participants are encouraged to pre-register by April 28 to receive a 2014 Big Red Race t-shirt. There is a $20 non-refundable entry fee for adults, and $25 on race day. The non-refundable entry fee for runners ages 12-17 is $10 in advance, and $15 on race day. A food donation will serve in lieu of a $5 entry fee for runners under age 12, each of whom will receive a finisher’s medal and a t-shirt.
Tickets for the Big Red Raffle also will be on sale. Many awards are up for grabs, including a special treat for the Lawrence Township family with the most participants in the Adult 5K and Kid’s races.
Registration forms for the adult and children’s races are available on the Big Red Race webpage at http://www.lawrenceville.org/athletics/big-red-race/index.aspx.
