TRENTON — Mercer County was informed Monday that Amazon is accepting applications for its fulfillment and lead fulfillment associates at the soon to open Robbinsville facility.
Amazon also reported good success in filling dock clerk and trainer positions posted last month on the county website.
Under the leadership of Mercer County Executive Brian M. Hughes, the Mercer County One-Stop recently began conducting daily information sessions for people who wish to apply for positions at Amazon, and the Office of Economic Development and Sustainability has been working with the Greater Mercer Transportation Management Association to provide public transportation from several major bus routes to the Matrix Business Park where Amazon’s facility is located.
”We don’t want qualified candidates to be discouraged by a lack of personal transportation to a possible job at Amazon, and we’re working hard with the GMTMA to develop a network to get people who wish to work out to the job site,” Mr. Hughes said in a county press release.
The Mercer County One-Stop Career Center at 26 Yard Ave., Trenton, will also help match job seekers already in its database with possible careers at Amazon.

”The Mercer County One-Stop has an established connection to a number of talented people in our region who might find themselves to be a good fit for a career at Amazon, and my administration is building a strong partnership with Amazon to connect those people with good-paying jobs,” Mr. Hughes said.
Mercer County One-Stop Career Center is actively supporting Amazon’s recruiting and sourcing activities, and the Mercer County Economic Development Office has arranged for Amazon to conduct live interviews in Mercer County in the coming weeks. Potential candidates who have successfully completed Amazon’s online application and are advanced by Amazon’s job fulfillment team will be invited to interview locally.
Amazon has indicated to Mr. Hughes that not all open roles have been posted and that potential employees should check back often. Mercer County on its website will update the Amazon links as new information is available.
Additional information about Amazon careers can be found at, www.amazonfulfillmentcareers.com, which focuses on multiple roles within Amazon Fulfillment Centers.
It includes nationwide postings for exempt and non-exempt (many of which are already posted) Fulfillment Center opportunities in multiple employment categories.
It also showcases interactive overviews of what it means to work in an Amazon Fulfillment Center and a pop quiz to see if the visitor to the site possesses some “Amazon DNA.”
