UU Princeton Congregation Annual Spring Sale on Saturday, May 10th (9am-2pm rain or shine)
Last spring $26,000 was raised at this sale for donation to 18 non-profits providing emergency food, shelter, education and other services in Mercer County.  Recipients include: Trenton Area Soup Kitchen, HomeFront, the Crisis Ministry of Princeton and Womanspace.  This year UUCP hopes to raise even more money for these charities.  This is an outreach event — none of the profits from this sale are kept by the congregation.  Buyers have the rare opportunity to support worthwhile charities while acquiring bargains.  For environmentalists, this is a mega opportunity for recycling previously used goods.
The Spring Sale takes up the entire building and grounds. Sale items include: high-quality clothing for men and women, shoes & accessories, linens, baskets, furniture, lamps, antiques, books & DVDs, toys & games, computers, jewelry, art pieces, posters & paintings, kitchen appliances, dishes, trinkets, sporting goods, plants & flowers, gardening tools and general household items. In addition to the indoor array of booths, a silent auction will feature high-end items, including antiques, fine furniture, jewelry, never-used electronics, and other valuables.
There will be live music performed by the Catfish Blues Band to accompany the café lunch menu, which includes grilled entrées, savory salads, soups and gourmet desserts.
The volume and variety of quality items is truly amazing.  Virtually everything and anything can be found at this sale.
