Josie Mescallado will sing classical and opera selections, Broadway show tunes, popular movie classics and patriotic songs today, Thursday, April 24, at the Manville Senior Center at the Fire Company No. 1 at 20 South Third Ave.
Attendees will be encouraged to sing along.
The senior center is normally open Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.2:30 p.m.
A suggested lunch donation of $2 is recommended for individuals age 60 and older. The cost of lunch for those younger than age 60 is $6.50. Call 908-369-8700 before 10:30 a.m. the day before to make a lunch reservation.
Transportation is available for those who do not drive.
Bingo is played every Wednesday at 11:15 a.m.
Birthdays are celebrated on the fourth Wednesday of the month.
A walk & chair exercise class is sponsored by the Manville Recreation Department every Tuesday and Thursday, 9:30-10:30 a.m. Creative movement exercises are led Wednesdays, 10:15-11 a.m. An aerobic chair exercise class is sponsored every Monday and Wednesday, 8:45-9:45 a.m.
A healthy bones exercise class is held every Tuesday and Thursday, 9:30-11 a.m. Advance registration and a doctor’s note are required.
Tai chi is held every Friday, 9:30-10:30 a.m. Advance registration is required.
