To the editor:
It is my pleasure to recommend Thuy Anh Le to the voting public of Hillsborough as she, in my opinion would do a wonderful job representing the public on the Township Committee.
When I first met her 20 years ago she was working to be a dedicated Girl Scout leader helping young girls become independent, confident and self-reliant women. Thuy Anh taught them to make a conscious effort to their community and to get involved to make a difference through serving the needs of the township.
Since then Thuy Anh has amazed me with all the time and effort she herself has spent volunteering in the town of Hillsborough.
To Thuy Anh Le, the words “it can’t be done” have no meaning. She works endlessly to find solutions and to solve roadblocks. Just look at what happened with the open space referendum. Everyone said “why try” but she is tenacious in her efforts to investigate any problem and find solutions.
Among her many traits, Thuy Anh Le has the ability to bring people together to listen to the voices of both sides in her effort to be fair and to find solutions. At the Friends of Hillsborough Open Space forum and when Deputy Mayor Doug Tomson wanted to address the group unexpectedly, Thuy Anh graciously let him speak because she felt that a fair representation of the information would allow residents to make informed decisions. She takes the time to learn the facts, then presents them in a way that people will understand and lets people make their own decisions.
I believe a person like Thuy Anh Le is vital in helping our community thrive and grow in a responsible way. She understands the needs of our community and will work tirelessly to improve the quality of life in Hillsborough. Join concerned citizens in voting for her and John Beggiato on June 3.
