LAMBERTVILLE: Body found floating in canal identified as former Marine

   Police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a Marine veteran found in the canal in Lambertville on Friday afternoon.
   Prosecutor Anthony Kearns III said police and emergency crews were dispatched at 2:33 p.m. to the Lambertville canal near the intersection of Clinton and Delavan streets for a report of a person floating face down in the canal.
   The person was pronounced dead at the scene. He was identified as Kenneth J. Muzychko, 32, of Flemington. He had recently been staying in Lambertville and was well known locally, according to the prosecutor’s release.
   There does not appear to be any suspicious circumstances at this time.
   Detectives from the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Lambertville City Police Department are investigating. The Hunterdon County Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death pending an autopsy and toxicological testing, said the prosecutor.
   ”Our condolences go out to his family and friends,” said Mr. Kearns in the release.
