North Brunswick man makes a ‘Vocal Point’ with performance

NORTH BRUNSWICK — Edward Daingerfield of North Brunswick helped Vocal Point, the University of Delaware’s co-ed a cappella group, place third at Varsity Vocals’ International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella at the event final in New York City.

Narrowed down from a pool of hundreds of performance groups, Vocal Point was one of eight groups from around the world chosen to advance to the finals.

Vocal Point performed a 12-minute medley featuring original arrangements by Jon Smith, music director of the group. It was honored with the Outstanding Arrangement award.

This year, Vocal Point released an album titled “Momentum” and earned a spot on a compilation that features top collegiate and high school recordings.
