JAMESBURG: Cops: Possible home burglary suspects out of state

By Jenine Clancy, Special Writer
JAMESBURG — According to a press release, Jamesburg police were called to a home burglary May 9 at 1 p.m. on Ridgeview Road.
A Mercedes Benz 500 series Gold colored SUV type vehicle with Connecticut license plates was in the area all afternoon, said Detective Jason Muller of the Jamesburg Police Department in the release.
The suspect car was possibly occupied by three males, possible of hispanic decent, Mr. Muller said.
Mr. Muller also said in the release that two to three people in the neighborhood had conversations with the men in the vehicle.
"One neighbor said he asked if they needed any help and they said their car broke down and were just waiting for AAA," Mr. Muller said. "Another neighbor said the people in the vehicle stated they were just waiting for a friend."
He also said the men were knocking on people’s doors asking questions about the neighborhood or to help with their car.
"Everyone thought it was weird, but not weird enough to call the police," said Mr. Muller.
Police did not release any information as to what was reportedly stolen from the house.
No one has been caught or identified at this time.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Jason Muller of the Jamesburg Police Department.
