MANSFIELD: Driver is charged with evading police

David Yunker was charged with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, obstructing administration of law and criminal mischief, as well as being issued numerous motor vehicle summonses.

MANSFIELD — Police say a Pemberton Borough man is facing a myriad of charges, including resisting arrest, stemming from an April 28 road rage incident.
According to authorities, at approximately 4 p.m. on April 28, police responded to Homstead Plaza II on Columbus Road for reports of an aggressive driver.
The caller reported that a man, later identified as David Yunker, 34, was driving erratically, police said. In addition, Mr. Yunker’s car had veered off the roadway and had two flat tires.
Police said that once the accused knew he was being followed he pulled into the plaza, exited the car to confront the caller and damaged the car by striking it with his fist.
Prior to police arriving, Mr. Yunker abandoned his car and fled on foot, but was subsequently found in the nearby Country Walk development and fled when approached by an officer.
Police were able to identify the suspect who was subsequently arrested by Pemberton authorities May 1 and turned over to Mansfield police.
Mr. Yunker was charged with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, obstructing administration of law and criminal mischief, as well as being issued numerous motor vehicle summonses.
Bail was set at $2,500.00 for the charges listed.
Additionally, the accused had several active warrants for his arrest from other jurisdictions. He was transported to the Burlington County Jail in lieu of bail.
