Baseball, softball teams win county championships
Hillsborough softball and baseball teams captured Somerset County Tournament titles this week. The boys hoisted their trophy Monday night at TD Ballpark following a 4-3 victory over Ridge. The girls defeated Bridgewater-Raritan, 5-4, on Saturday.
Both Raider teams sported MVPs: Baseball hurler Matt Hornich and softball center fielder Kelly Amen, who scored the winning run, with her award.
