Local law enforcement officers will be aggressively pursuing drivers not wearing seatbelts during the statewide “Click It or Ticket” campaign.
Through June 1, police will step up enforcement to ensure that drivers and passengers recognize the lifesaving value of seatbelts. During the mobilization period, local police agencies will conduct a zerotolerance safety belt enforcement campaign, and motorists who are not buckled up will be issued a ticket.
